Guess who I’m playing with?! It be Hurricane Irene!!

It’s only a category one hurricane, and the shore (like AC and OC) are getting hit pretty good but the shit hasn’t hit the fan yet. They’re saying that won’t happen till about 4am? Oh we now have this little ditty…

Tornados! Well, warnings anyway. They haven’t told us to hide yet, not that I really have anywhere to go in my house that would protect me from a frackin’ tornado!
So I’m just chillin’ in bed while my husband and my son sleep, keeping the resin kids safe, talkin to friends on Facebook and watching the news
I will SURVIVE!

I’m right with you! I’m up there on that itty bitty island that it looks like New Jersey is eating, we call it Staten Island. However, right now I call it WINDY AS HECK! I don’t like these tornado warnings without any tornado tips and I am just thinking “THIS TOO SHALL PASS!”
Wishing you the best for tonight and this weekend. (Not that you don’t deserve the best for your whole life – I wish you that too!!)

Glad to hear that everyone was safe, for the most part! Here in the “High Five” State, we don’t get much excitement except for a good ice storm every could years!

I’m in the Philly suburbs and I wasn’t too nervous until a tornado was spotted in King of Prussia. Then I got really freaked out and we were camped out in our tub with a blanket over our heads (no basement)!!

We {aka the rest of my family} didn’t panic. {I made friends with my Valium!} Being 45 minutes west of Philly we ended up hit harder than we thought we would. We are buying a generator. We borrowed one luckily since we had no power for 62 hours.

new follower from comment hour! Cute blog! I am glad Irene didn’t do much damage, but she still knocked out electricity everywhere…that’s a big enough pain in the ass to not like her.

I heard Irene hit pretty bad in some areas, but for where I lived, all we got was light rain :/ My friends and I flipped out for nothing!

Ahhh the joys of east coast living! I was born and raised in Philly and living in Alaska now so I’ve traded in the tornadoes and hurricanes for earthquakes, volcanoes and wild fires! LoL

Ohh Irene wasn’t fun at all especially with the wind.
My friend was evacuated on Friday though. Good news is that Seaside wasn’t too bad (being I’m 20 minutes inland from her, we didn’t get evac’d.)
Tornadoes everywhere though, even one 15 miles from a town not far from me. Scary stuff I tell yah.

Did it hit bad in the end? I didn’t see anything on the news past them giving the warnings? :/
